Director / Founder
Thank you for visiting our website and considering us for your treatment. I am the founder of Solid Foundation Counseling Services and have served individuals in outpatient mental health, chemical dependency and correctional settings since 2012. I have worked with a variety of individuals, to include active duty service-members, their family members, and veterans who struggled with addiction, depression, anxiety and PTSD.
My work is largely directed toward dual diagnosis mental health services focusing on substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Although my approach is very integrative, it has strong foundations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered and Motivational Interviewing, and trauma focused approaches. I enjoy working with people to help them get ‘unstuck’ from both pervasive feelings of being ‘down’, to a recent episode of life changes that have seemed to have taken some uneasy and devastating turns. I want to help you find hope. My overall goal is to help individuals overcome the challenges of their lives through evidence-based practices that are driven by my faith and my compassion for others.
I am a veteran and retiree of the U.S. Marines and have made the Upstate my home since 2018. I have an undergraduate degree in Social Psychology from Park University in Parkville, MO; a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from Clark's Summit University in Clarksville, PA, and today I am pursuing a Ph.D in Psychological Studies with an emphasis in Addiction Counseling from Regent University. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.
